2023 ACED Program Graduation

The Algiers Economic Development Foundation will hold the graduation ceremony and celebration for the 2023 Algiers Career and Educational Development Program on June 3rd from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the University of Holy Cross’ Basil Moreau Center.

Since 2020, AEDF, in partnership with Louisiana State Senator Gary Carter, Jr., has hosted the Algiers Career and Educational Development Program (ACED). This program helps juniors and seniors who live in Algiers or attend Algiers-based high schools to identify career pathways, develop key workforce skills, and create lasting connections within the Algiers community.

ACED programming takes place on one Saturday in the months of February, March, April, and June. Each session includes morning lesssons on subjects such as financial literacy and job interview skills, as well as afternoon field trips to Algiers-based employers and educational institutions.

Join us in celebrating the hard work and dedication exhibited by these young adults, who gave up their Saturdays to participate in this program! Light refreshments will be provided.
